I was imagining this just being one big post, but the prologue and the
discussion of corrigibility are each large enough to be a standalone
post. Writing this is expensive enough, and potentially time-sensitive
enough (we can only assume that Opus 4.7 or 5 is already being trained
on the existing Constitution), that we want to work in
least-publishable units.

You know what? It's 31 December. I was imagining finishing the
prologue, but in addition to it being expensive to confront the past,
it's also plausibly not the highest value task. It's not "now or
never"; I could pull it out into a prequel post, and having this post
be narrowly focused on my return and triumph at SFSU is more cohesive.

I was procrastinating on this for a while (I graduated at the end of
May; it's already mid-August), but even if today wasn't as productive
as one might have hoped, I am at least unblocked, which is a great,

Someday I'd like to move my mainstream blog to Pelican and have all
the posts in Git; right now it's still WordPress (because that was the
obvious thing to do when I set it up in 2011). But before I've moved
the whole blog, I still want new posts in version control, so let's
init a repository for that.
