Including [the book about counterfactuals and causal inference in the social sciences](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0521671930/), which is _really important_ because everyone and her dog has political opinions, but it's [rather less common](http://zackmdavis.net/blog/2012/12/counterfactual-social-thought/) to have a theory about how to reason about which interventions will lead to which outcomes!
